Just bought my first gun

im not sure to laugh or shake head and sigh in disgust at these starry eyed COD kids. Cutting past your rambling about ammo and who said what. Your "sniper" friend tells you to get one thing and you ignore your "friend" get the other. Man i'm smelling a wannabe. What are you training for? That is what i dont get i understand practicing, shooting for fun, and maybe even training for USPSA but why in hell are these kids training. What's the purpose? Why do kids these days think sniping is such a glamorous job? Jake makes a sniper comment and out of nowhere you have a Sniper friend in the usmc of all places, my play ground. If your friend really was what you say he was, why would you ignore advice from him such an expert. You want to learn to be a marksman and you ignore advice from someone who was part of our brotherhood of the best shooters in the world (if he really is who you say he is).

Your waiting for a "zombie apocalypse" really? i mean seriously? I cant help but laugh at how stupid that is. I mean you seriously think there will be a zombie apocalypse and worst is you believe it enough to invest money in it. Sounds like someone has been playing too many video games. You realize that a zombie defies all set medical rules that would require someone to be mentally dead but able to function enough to move and recognize that there is a food source that is not there own kind, there is clearly a functioning thought process there, thus if you used your head that would mean zombies are one of the outliers that the percentage of happening is very close to zero you dont even understand how low of a number that is. Anymore zombies in the shooting community are just jokes that shooters play and to liven up the range but anyone that seriously considers the possibility of a zombie apocalypse shouldnt have a gun. Then again what do i know?

Even though AK74M will be there for at least another 10 years in Russian army, we should see more and more troops equipped with new types of weapons in near future.

AK-12, with NATO like rails

The most possible winner, in my opinion, would be the AK-12, it's not about performance though, but more about cost-effectiveness. Just like how AK74M won among all awesome rivals above, AK12 being its successor, descendent of the AK family, would be most likely to stand out.

The next possible winner would be AEK-971/AK-107, as they're both all round rifles and are accurate at full auto / long burst with little recoil.

The AN-94, though with amazing short burst ability, would have a hard time to win, just like it did in Project Abakan. And its short burst ability isn't much needed in todays conflicts, as with the DMR's role becoming more and more important, assault rifles would have to depend more on long burst and full auto.

But still in BF3, AN-94 owns.
